Share Your Spare
At a young age, my father James was diagnosed with Lupus, a rare autoimmune disorder that leads to kidney failure. He has spent a majority of his life on dialysis, all while working full-time as an engineer and as the World’s #1 Best Dad, and he is currently in need of a kidney donor. His last kidney donation was about 13 years ago and came from my mother, his loving wife, which gave him 10 wonderful years without dialysis. Unfortunately, that kidney eventually failed and my dad has been constantly in and out of hospitals and on the waiting list for another kidney for the last 2 years. In order to live a life full of travel, time spent with loved ones, and even returning to work, he must find a living donor. Read more about his story or donate now.
Find out if you’re a match
We’re all born with two kidneys, but in most cases, we only need one to live a fully healthy life. Sharing your spare kidney will allow my father to live the healthy life he’s always wanted.
Doctors will not perform a transplant surgery without first ensuring the safety of the donor and the recipient, and they will make sure the donor is a suitable match for donation.
Help another way
Of course, we understand it is a lot to ask for an organ donor. Alternatively you can donate to research for kidney disease at The National Kidney Foundation, or help by sharing this story and contacting us below.
